DURANGO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

Durango Fire provides an all-hazards service, consisting of: suppression of building, wildfire and vehicle fires, emergency medical services/ambulance service including patient transport, rescue (water, rope, vehicle), fire prevention, fire code enforcement, public education, and hazardous material response, to a population of 53,000 in approximately 325 square miles of southwestern Colorado.

Durango Fire is on scene of a house fire in the Alpine Shadows subdivision on Pine Ridge Drive off of CR 225. Firefighters arrived to find a confirmed living room fire. Initial arriving engine attacked fire from front porch and through doorway into structure. Fire is contained.
